July 25, 2009:
At 9:40 a.m., Oregon Police responded to 1100 Pines Road to investigate a two-vehicle traffic crash where a 2003 Dodge Ram driven by a 16-year-old male juvenile, of Byron, struck a parked vehicle belonging to Mickey C. Fitts, of Byron, IL. No citations were issued.
July 27, 2009:
At 4:40 p.m., Oregon Police issued Jeremy J. Wilson, age 29, of Hillsdale, IL, a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. This violation occurred in the 600 block of N. 4th Street.
July 28, 2009:
At 5:20 p.m., Oregon Police responded to Kiwanis Park in Oregon, IL, where a subject was consuming alcohol. Upon arrival the subject, Jeffrey A. Smice, age 47, was identified and issued a complaint with a notice to appear for the park district ordinance violation of consuming alcohol within any park of the Oregon Park District.
July 31, 2009:
At 9:19 p.m., Oregon Police responded to a fight in progress call at 700 E. Washington resulting in the arrest of Joseph T. Kane, age 42, Oregon, for resisting arrest and two counts of battery. Kane was transported to the Ogle County jail.
August 1, 2009:
At 12:14 p.m., Oregon Police responded to the Oregon Shell gas station for a retail theft that had occurred resulting in taking one 9-year-old male juvenile, of Oregon, into limited custody. The juvenile was released into his parent’s custody.
August 2, 2009:
At 4:00 a.m., Oregon Police arrested a 14-year-old female juvenile of Oregon on an Ogle County juvenile arrest warrant for the offense of runaway. The juvenile was transported to the Ogle County jail where she awaited transportation to the Mary Davis Juvenile Detention Center in Galesburg, IL. Another 15-year-old female juvenile of Oregon was also taken into limited custody for being gone without permission and released into her parents’ custody.
